Since its inception in 2007, the Coaltion for Responsible Transportation has grown to include leading importers, exporters, trucking companies, clean truck manufacturers and ocean carriers who represent the largest most progressive customers and service providers at our nation's ports.
Through the CRT Clean Truck Initiative, the private sector members of CRT are working in partnership with America's ports to establish clean action plans to develop and implement industry-supported clean truck protrams that are both environmentally and econmically sustainable.
Los Angeles - Long Beach
In 2007, Los Angeles and Long Beach became the first ports in the nation to develop comprehensive programs to address emissions issues related to maritime trade. CRT member companies were among the earlierst industry stakeholders to publicly support the clean air goals that the ports proposed.

Oakland
The entire truck fleet serving the Port of Oakland of Oakland-based members of CRT have already acheived compliance with the strict emmisions standards that were established through the CRT-supported Clean Truck Management Program (CTMP).
CRT members are investing millions of dollars in the deployment of new clean equipment in partnership with federal and state governments, and local ports around the country. By partnering together, ports and their customers can improve the environmental quality of our port communities, and ensure that our nation’s ports remain an engine for job creation and a thriving economy.
New York - New Jersey
The CRT-supported New York and New Jersey Dirty Truck Ban will improve air quality, reduce associated human health and the environment effects, and reduce maritime-related greenhouse gas emissions that are associated with climate change.
Seattle - Tacoma
I CRT was proud to partner with the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma in the development and ultimate adoption of their respective clean truck programs, as an important component of the Northwest Ports Clean Air Strategy, and was proud to support the adoption of those programs when they were brought before their respective Port Commissions.
